Ok. Honesty time. Who of you really believed this would be finished in one more part? Really. I mean, let’s be real. How many times have I ever finished something in the predetermined amount of parts??? I think I thought I could do it, but *sigh* I was wrong. As a matter of fact, I really f’d this part up on the first go round today and The Beta Babe and Mrs. Spamlad both had to jump in and say “Un-uh!” They liked this and blessed it, and Jill even gave me tips on the proper use of ellipses, but I’m not sure if I got that all right or not. If not, please forgive. Expect the LAST PART in a couple of days! Grrr!

PS: i'm working on my daily blog post. It's not midnight yet somewhere! :)
This is my Friday Entry, a bit late. This is a long and rambling post that begins with my weekend and ends in an apology for me being such a retard about Jake.
As all you guys know, I’m an air traffic controller. We work 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week, so you can fly wherever you want, whenever you want, safely. After 19 years on the job, I’m finally senior enough to get weekends off. I just changed over from having Su/Mo off to having Sa/Su off a couple of weeks ago, in conjunction with my fall vacation. This is my second official weekend off at home. Last weekend my husband had to be away with family drama, so it didn’t count.

Today’s Blog entry is a bit of fic. This is part one of a two-part (please!) one-shot. Since it’s very short, the title doubles as a summary. J

The topic of today’s blog is Another Kind of Love, which lives in my Whiskiegurl journal. At the end of the blog, I ask a question about what type of stories you enjoy the most. Even if you don’t read the entire post, please read the last 3 paragraphs (they're short) and comment if you’re of a mind too. Thanks. S!

The topic of my blog post today was the POP trailer, which disappeared soon after i posted the link. Not sure what is up with that. Anyway, I think the trailer looks awesome. I wasn't really expecting to like POP since it's not the kind of movie i usually like, but i think i am going to be pleasantly surprised!
I'm not sure why the trailer keeps playing hide and go seek, but it's here as of 2 minutes ago. I watched it again. Yayay Jake! :)

It occurs to me that instead of blogging about AKL, I should be working on Cwby30’s chapter. So today, I’m just going to do a very short entry and get busy with the million things I have to do before I go to work at four pm.

I noticed on my friends’ page, thanks to fuzzy_carpet, that it’s national blog month again. Barb (Lawgoddess) did it last year and I tried to follow along, but according to my journal, I only made 8 entries. I’m pretty sure there were more than 8 days in November last year. Maybe I’ll do better this time, but probably not.

You are The Lovers
Motive, power, and action, arising from Inspiration and Impulse.
The Lovers represents intuition and inspiration. Very often a choice needs to be made.
Originally, this card was called just LOVE. And that's actually more apt than "Lovers." Love follows in this sequence of growth and maturity. And, coming after the Emperor, who is about control, it is a radical change in perspective. LOVE is a force that makes you choose and decide for reasons you often can't understand; it makes you surrender control to a higher power. And that is what this card is all about. Finding something or someone who is so much a part of yourself, so perfectly attuned to you and you to them, that you cannot, dare not resist. This card indicates that the you have or will come across a person, career, challenge or thing that you will fall in love with. You will know instinctively that you must have this, even if it means diverging from your chosen path. No matter the difficulties, without it you will never be complete.

I've been reading a few non-fanfic m/m stories lately, trying to get all revved up with the urge to write, and i'll be honest: you can pay money for some pretty crappy stuff if you aren't careful. I'm not sure what's up with folks... if they just want to read so badly that they don't care if it's good or not, or if folks just want to read about sex and they don't care about plot or style or realistic dialogue.
I care about all that stuff and tonite i found a story that lived up to all my hopes and expectations. It wasn't deep or meaningful or lifechanging... it's not a BBM type of story. It's a m/m love story about 2 college roommates who like to play games. Just for fun....
Yeah. Exactly....
So anyway, here's the link to the author, Evangeline Anderson's, website. The ebook costs $3.50 and i totally got my money's worth out of it. I'm going to investigate buying some of her other stories too. I haven't read any of the other blurbs, but Str8te Boys was great, and if she keeps up that level of entertainment, she's a keeper. it was really inspiring and educational - for me as a writer - to read something totally original that was fun and humorous and captivating from the first page to the last.
If you chose to buy it, i really don't think you'll be disappointed. It's a fun, sexy and light-hearted love story, and i think we can all enjoy that!
If you buy it, please let me know what you think. Hugs. S.

Here's an interesting article about the new trend of m/m stories written by/for women (mostly). It's from a June edition of a big paper, maybe the Boston Globe... i forgot already in the 20 seconds since i read it. Duh.
Anyway, vakay is winding down. We leave for home in the morning. Should touch down in Memphis around 12:45. Yayay. I've had a great time, but i'm really looking forward to getting back to my house and my pets and my new (old) car. It sucks to get a new car and then leave two days later! I'll drive it up to see the 'rents on Monday. They got a new car too. Go Mom.
I've been working on LB today. I may have some chapters to post tonight. Hugs. S!
